American Institute of Baking Audits Industrial Packaging
Industrial Packaging had an unannounced AIB (American Institute of Baking) audit in March of 2014 at one of our contract packaging facilities located in Leominster, MA. AIB is an industry leader in food safety and food defense audits.
They inspected our 140,000 square foot plant including all processing areas, warehouse storage, and our shipping and receiving areas. Once the physical inspection of the plant concluded, all process and GMP documentation was then audited. The auditor completed the inspection and gave a score of 935 of a possible 1,000 with no major violations found. This is 20 points better than the previous unannounced audit that took place late in 2013!
We have taken the recommendations of the auditor and have already begun to improve the facility. We fully expect that our next unannounced audit will have a higher score than this.
